FAQ about Keyhole
No, Keyhole is not an insurance company. However, we have a close partnership and act as an agent for a well-established insurance company, Nordic Guarantee.
Nordic Guarantee is one of the leading experts in guarantees in the Nordics. They operate in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway.
Keyhole is a registered insurance agency under the supervision of the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet). This means that we are authorised to issue guarantees for deposits and prepaid rent through our own specially developed platform and app.
You can always delete your Keyhole account if you have not used Keyhole's deposit payment solutions.
If you have had a deposit guarantee through Keyhole, you can close your account 18 months after the payment of your last active move-out claim. By default, Keyhole retains all necessary data based on the statute of limitations law §3 for up to 30 years from the expiration of the last insurance policy.
In the unlikely event that Keyhole ceases to exist, it will not affect the security provided for you as a tenant towards the landlord.
The guarantee will be maintained by Nordic Guarantee, and premium payments will continue to be collected by them. As such, the guarantees and the security for the landlord will remain in place as long as you continue to reside in the rental property and pay your premium.
We accept most common types of payment cards, including VISA, VISA Debit, VISA Electron, Dankort, Mastercard, and Maestro Card.
Additionally, you now also have the option to pay using Apple Pay.
