What happens if I disagree with the decision from the Rent Dispute Tribunal (Husleietvistutvalget)?

If you disagree with the decision from HTU, you can bring the case before the District Court (tingrett) within one month after the decision was served on you. A decision from the District Court will always carry more weight than HTU's decision.

If you disagree with the District Court's judgment, it can as a rule be appealed to the Court of Appeal (lagmannsrett).
